Thanks for Being Here -
This is A Space to Grieve: a newsletter exploring the raw reality of death, birth, and the sweetness of life through a curious and compassionate lens. Starting in 2022 after the sudden death of my beloved Mom, this newsletter has evolved into a sacred place for me to process what I’ve lost and all that I’ve gained as I dance toe to toe with the heavy-handed master teacher that is Grief.
May my words find a soft landing in the corners of your heart
With Love,
Rohini

“Release your jagged truths
Let them be heard by kind ears
Allow light into the far back
parts of your supple heart
Open the blinds,
and let love leak in.”
ABOUT ROHINI -
In her parent's bedroom growing up, a painting of their Guru alongside Jesus, Mother Mary, Buddha, Quan Yin, and other beloved saints hung proudly. Rohini was exposed to a deep and earnest yearning for God starting in her earliest moments, as her Dad prayed her Mom back to life amidst the lightning storm of Rohini’s birth. School lunches were prepared with Sanskrit mantras playing in the background, and Wednesday nights involved community meditation and yoga. These foundational practices stayed in her heart, even when she left her home of Whidbey Island to pursue a career in Fashion in New York City. After building an online audience while simultaneously feeling utterly directionless, Rohini dove into her own explorations of Spirit and hasn’t stopped since. Sound Healing, the Japanese Art of Reiki, Shamanic Plant Medicine, Somatic Breathwork, and Buddhist meditation practices all welcomed her as a student with open arms. In 2022, her best friend and Mother, Julie Vosoba, passed away suddenly from a heart attack, altering the course of her life. Six months later, Rohini became pregnant with her first child. Three months after her precious daughter, Alinah Melissa, was born, she too passed away suddenly. These initiations into Death quickly became her most profound teachers on Life. Today, she spends her days with her Beloved Husband, Sage, among the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee, tending to cattle, bees, and gardens. Her focus is on creating healing spaces for humans, and a healing retreat center will be opening up on their land in the next few years.
