Setting a Table
you bring the bread, I'll bring the onslaught of revelations on grief in our chilly modern society
Setting a Table
I’ve been writing a lot these days - pulling over suddenly while driving, pausing music to unleash a holy fury, tip-toeing out into the living room butt-naked past midnight to peel open my laptop and dump my mind’s content out -somewhere, anywhere.
… here?
So far, my notes, poems, and ramblings are confined to a few unorganized Google Docs and many pages in my notes app.
But I feel like these curated words of mine need to go somewhere,
out, around, mixed in - unleashed, released, if you will.
So I’m creating a space to grieve. Setting a table for myself to lay it all out there.
If you are familiar with ‘losing’ someone you love (but they're not really ‘lost,’ now are they?) - to death, heartbreak, a twist of fate.
Whether it’s a mother, partner, a moment in time, an old version of yourself, a friend, or a pet, this may be a space for you to grieve, too.
With Love,
Rohini
